Our Sovereign God
Aug 27
This week I have been pondering a lot on the Sovereignty of our God. I thought about how I can trust Him that he is in control. Even when I look at my babies I see how he weaved their skin, organs and cells together in a miracle of a baby. He causes the sun to rise and set on time, another daily miracle. I just wrote this little poem of how God has been sovereign over my life and I hope it blesses you.
The Sovereignty of God
He knit me inside my mother’s womb
He already knows the date on my tomb
He is not ever caught by surprise
He knows when even a sparrow dies
He placed me in a family planned from above
He taught me the Bible, and disciplines love
One day it hit me like a ton of bricks
The concept I had been taught how the Lord convicts
My eyes were opened to the sin in my life
I needed to cut it out with a knife
I prayed and asked Him to take out my sin
At that very moment did my new life begin
I know he knew me when he died in my place
He sought me and bought me and showed me His grace
I never loved Him before I just tried to obey
Week after week “church” I did play
He gave me a husband that loves His Word
He gave me with zeal to tell all that have not heard
God does know me He cleaned out my heart
He forgave and forgot and gave me a new start
He blessed me with children that now I can teach
They hear their daddy every week preach
He forms us and makes us just like His Son
He is God our Creator. The only true ONE
I am thankful he loved me when a sinner He found
He changed me and now for Heaven I am bound
He knows everything from Him we cannot hide
When we think He has left us he is right by our side
He is Sovereign King and He rules and He reigns
Those who don’t know Him their heart still remains
I praise Him for I am wonderfully made
His love never leaves us it never does fade
He formed me in my mothers womb
He does know the date on my tomb
He controls and we know His plan is best
We only know a little while he knows the rest
We must trust his heart and rely on His name
There’s none else beside Him, there’s no one else the same.

Beautifully written as well as theologically sound
